We had so much fun at the beach! Mommy, Danielle, Morgan, Sophie, Kate, Kaityn, Granna and Lee all stayed together at the beach. The drive down was pretty good the babies didn't nap well but they were ok. We left Sunday around 8:30 am and arrived around 3:00 pm. I will give you the play by play, but you have to know that Morgan and Kaitlyn left on Thursday so they could meet their teachers for 6th grade. Kate loved the water and hated the sand for most of the time that we were there, and Sophie loved it all! The babies did so well (even at bed time-- thank you GOD!!!)
Day 1: (Sunday) We didn't do much this day. We unpacked and played in the pool. We had burgers and hot dogs thanks to mom and me. Then we put the babies down to bed and began a nightly ritual of playing domino's and cards.
Day 2: (Monday) Our first day to the beach. We went down after Kate's nap and then came back for lunch and afternoon naps. Then we spent most of the rest of the evening in the pool. We had dinner(spaghetti) put the kids to bed and began the nightly ritual again.
Day 3: (Tuesday) Same thing but tonight we had red beans and rice! Danielle had a great time!!!!
Day 4:(Wed) Same routine but went to Sharky's for dinner. Sophie got to play on the beach playground and then got balloon animals. Then we went to play goofy golf. Everyone had a great time. Sophie played 2 holes and then just ran around the mini golf place. I forgot the stroller so I spent most of the time chasing crazy Kate!
Day 5: (Thur) Today Danielle and I had to take Morgan and Kaitlyn back to Dothan to meet Kaitlyn's parents so that they could go to their 6th grade meet and greet! Nothing to fun this day! It was nice though to have just some adult time! Thanks again mom for watching the babies!
Day 6: (Friday) SURPRISE!!!!!! Daddy showed up and surprised us! We went to the beach were Kate decided to prove me to be a liar and played in the sand that she had hated all week! The girls and I were so excited that he was there. After the beach we played in the pool and then went to Margaritaville and Pier Park! We shopped at the peace frog store and rode the carousel and watched all the people. It was fun, but too freakin' HOT!
Day 7: (Saturday) We decided not to go to the beach! The babies just weren't up for it so we played at the pool all day. Daddy didn't feel well so Danielle and I took the girls to Pineapple Willies. They were horrible so we went home right after. Daddy was feeling better so after we put the girls to bed the grown ups played Mexican train domino's.
Then it was time to go :( ! We had so much fun. Thanks mom for getting the hook up on a great house! We had so much fun! We can't wait until next year! It just keeps getting better!
you got your nights mixed up. monday was red beans and rice and tuesday was spaghetti because i only had noodles... but thanks for bringing that one up again
